Service Description

This 4-week course is designed for dog owners who want to achieve reliable off-leash freedom while ensuring their dog’s training remains clear, fair, and effective. Using the e-collar as a communication tool rather than a punishment device, we focus on safe and responsible application, reinforcing essential obedience and engagement skills. This course is structured to build confidence and consistency in both you and your dog, ensuring a reliable off-leash experience. 📅 Duration: 4 weeks (2 sessions per week, 60 minutes per session) 🖥️ Format: First session each week is virtual; remaining session are in-person 📍 Location: Various locations (to be sent prior to class) 📃 Prerequisites: Dogs must have a basic foundation in obedience (sit, down, place, recall) ⚠️ Required Equipment: E-Collar Technologies or Dogtra brand e-collar (Mini Educator, 280c or similar), a 15-30 ft long line, and high-value food rewards. Links to recommended collars will be sent upon registration. Week 1: E-Collar Theory - Virtual Session + In-Person Basics Week 2: Building Confidence with Skills + E-Collar Conditioning Week 3: Skill Mastery + Off-Leash Transitioning Week 4: Real-World Application ***There is mandatory homework between each session - If you haven't done the work between classes, your dog will not be able to move on to the next phase of training*** ✅ What You’ll Gain: - A clear understanding of e-collar use as an effective communication tool - Reliable off-leash response in real-world settings - Strengthened bond with your dog through clarity, consistency, and engagement ⚠️Important Notes: - Past or current CDT students with reactive or aggressive dogs may attend - This course is designed to enhance existing obedience; it is not intended for addressing severe behavioral issues such as reactivity or aggression. - Only suggested e-collars are permitted to ensure the highest standard of safety and reliability
