Owner Trained Service Dog Program

A service dog is a dog trained to help its person with a disability. Service dogs can help people with all kinds of disabilities, whether we can see the disability or not.

What kind of dog can be a service dog?

Any breed of dog can be a service dog! But, not every dog is up for the task.

If you already have a dog you’re interested in training for service work, classes and private training with a knowledgeable trainer are a good starting point. If you don't have a dog, please contact us and we can help you evaluate and select one to best fit your needs.

It’s important to note that there is no guarantee that any dog in training will successfully go on to work as a service dog.*

What does it take?
