Mia Staysko

Mia has a lifelong love for dog training, beginning with her very first dog, a purebred miniature poodle, at the age of 12. Mia believes that training isn't something you do once, but should instead be approached as an ongoing activity that enriches the lives and relationships of both people and dogs.

 

Mia currently has two dogs; Wren, a Portuguese Water Dog, and Forrest, a Tibetan Terrier. Wren has trialed in Advanced Tricks, Rally-O, Agility and Scent Detection as well as PWD Water Work, holding several titles. Following her dogs lead, they have landed on Nosework as their favourite team activity with Wren being the first of her breed to earn a CKC Master Scent Detection Title. The team also hold an SDDA Elite title, and are working towards their Championship titles in both organizations. They also play in CWAGS and in UKC nosework. Mia is super passionate about sporting detection for so many reasons and loves to share her passion with others.
